What are Joondalup Orthopaedic Group’s office hours?
Our staffed phone hours are from 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Our office hours are from 8:30am – 5:00pm. Our office is not open on Public Holidays or weekends.
Are there any closures over the Christmas period?
Dr Arash Taheri will be away 25th December the returning Monday 7th January.
We will be CLOSED 25th & 26th December
Open from 9am until approx. 1pm on Thursday 27th December. (post op clinics only, however phones will be switched on)
CLOSED Friday 28th December
CLOSED Monday 31st and Tuesday 1st Jan.
Open from 9am until 4pm on Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th January.
How do I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment to see any of our Surgeons by calling (08) 9300 1800 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org directly.
Where are you located?
We are located at Joondalup Private Hospital, 60 Shenton Ave, Joondalup WA 6027. Please enter the private hospital main entrance and turn left at the first corridor and then left again. We are on the right hand side within Block G.
Do I need a referral to see a Surgeon at Joondalup Orthopaedic Group?
Yes, you will need a referral from your General Practitioner (GP).
Do I have to pay my consultation account on the day?
Yes, you will need to settle your account after your consultation.
What forms of payment do you take?
We take payments of cash, eftpos and credit card.
Are my consultations covered by Medicare and/or Private Health Insurance?
Yes, a portion of your consultation fee will be covered by Medicare. Your private health fund however will not cover consultations. Private cover is for hospital admission.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
Please remember to bring the following:
- Your doctor’s referral
- Your workers compensation or health insurance information
- Any relevant previous imaging
- Any relevant splints
How much time should I allow for my consultation?
Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for your initial consultation. We also suggest to allow yourself extra time for travel and parking.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of ticket parking outside the main entrance of Joondalup Private Hospital. Fees are $2/hour capped at a maximum of $10/day or $35/week. There are plenty of ACROD bays for those with appropriate permits.
